As a cancer survivor myself, father of a son battling cancer for many years and a friend to many affected by cancer, we feel we are obligated to give back. A healthy life is a privilege, not everyone has.

Bringing Joy to Children in Vulnerable Situations
One Million Smiles is a civil association founded in 2013 by Beatriz Valdés and Dr. Stefan Leipold. Our purpose is simple but powerful: to bring joy, love, fun, and hope to children in vulnerable situations, especially those facing life-threatening illnesses like cancer.

Our Causes
Changing pain, sadness, and suffering
into hope, fun, and joy
Every quarter, we collect donations through community events, online support and toy runs. These donations are delivered directly to children during recreational events filled with games, activities, and laughter—guided by trained professionals who ensure each child receives love and attention.
Support for Families
In addition to bringing joy to the children, we support their families by providing:
- Essential items such as food, clothing, and cleaning supplies
- Transportation assistance for medical treatments like chemotherapy
Together, we can create a million smiles
There is no good deed, unless its done!
- Painful to see that many of these small hero’s did not win the fight of their young life, that’s why I fight so hard to bring a smile to them, even if its just 1 day. This day makes a difference.
